This HORRIFYING Event Delayed the Release of Lana Del Rey’s Latest Album

Not everyone was happy during the holiday season. Singer Lana Del Rey, for instance, had to address a thief on social media, pleading to the person to return what was stolen from her family.

Even on holidays, the bad guys don’t rest and even celebrities aren’t exempted from being targets. The Summertime Sadness hitmaker took to Twitter to inform her fans that family mementos were taken from them.

Chuck Grant and Lana are close

One of the irreplaceable belongings taken was her sister Chuck Grant’s retrospective. Lana asked the culprit to send at least a copy of the photographer’s works in turn for an undisclosed reward, showing that she was willing to go to great lengths just to retrieve the prized possessions.

The Grammy-nominee didn’t give any clue on where the items were stolen but her 32-year-old sister is currently based in Los Angeles and New York. Lana and Chuck are very close as per the singer’s previous interviews.

They have been working together as well – Chuck’s works frequently featured Lana. Their support for each other has been evident, too, like when Lana shared that her sister’s talent remained to be a standout among the many skilled photographers she had met.

Because of this, Lana had to postpone the release of her spoken word album called Violet, which should have dropped on Jan. 4 for just a dollar. Half of the sales will go to Native American organizations.

The Brit Award-winner previously shared that this was to pay homage to the country’s lineage and that because it just felt right.

Not the First Time

Avid fans of Lana would know that this was not the first time something was taken from their idol. Five years ago, an infatuated man broke into her Malibu home and took a book.

A construction worker spotted the 19-year-old in the garage of the palatial house and he was immediately apprehended by authorities. The good thing was that Lana was not at the place during the incident.

Interestingly, there were rumors that Lana bought the beachfront mansion in a bid to prevent crazy fans from invading her privacy. The intrusion prompted the singer to beef up her security and seek a restraining order.

In 2018, the Born to Die singer also had to deal with a stalker, who brought a knife in her Orlando concert. However, the man revealed he had no plans of harming his idol.
